Foundry Line Appliance is a kitchen appliance shop. We do not repair, install or service heating, air conditioning or the ductwork that serves them, and we do not sell appliances.

A range hood is kitchen equipment and we work on it: blower, speed control, damper, baffle filters and the duct that serves the cooking suite. A make-up air path, a furnace, an air handler or a house duct system is a mechanical contractor, and we will say so on the phone.

The visit and the whole diagnostic sequence are $80 flat, and that comes off the bill the moment you approve the work. The work below has run $200–$970 in parts and labor after that, and the figure on your estimate is written down before a part is ordered.

- What happens on the first visit?
- The technician runs the full diagnostic sequence on the appliance, shows you what he measured, and writes the estimate before anything is ordered. That is the $80, and it comes off the repair. Calls run Mon–Fri, 8am–6pm and Sat, 9am–4pm. EPA Section 608 certified technicians for sealed-system refrigerant work.

The convection fan screeched at the start of every bake. He found the motor bearing dry and the blade clipping the shroud after a rack had been forced in. New motor, straightened shroud, silent oven.
