Terms of work

What it costs

No trip surcharge, no after-hours rate, no diagnostic that turns into a quote you never asked for.

Professional range with a burner assembly laid out beside it, the job opened up before any figure is given
The estimate is written after the appliance is opened, not over the telephone.

Fixed before we start

What is settled before anyone touches it?

Diagnostic

Estimate

Before any work

You get a written estimate before any part is ordered or any tool comes out.

Warranty

90 / 365 days

90 days on labor, 365 days on parts. Genuine OEM parts only.

The whole book

What does a repair cost, band by band?

The visit and the whole diagnostic sequence are $80 flat, and that comes off the bill the moment you approve the work. The work below has run $200–$2,360 in parts and labor after that, and the figure on your estimate is written down before a part is ordered.

Typical repair bands, Viking equipment, parts and labor together.
Work Parts and labor
$80 diagnostic Flat, credited toward the repair
Igniter or burner assembly $200–$530
Oven thermostat or heating element $200–$570
Control board or touch panel $410–$970
Refrigeration fan or defrost system $240–$650
Dishwasher pump or control $230–$660
Compressor or sealed-system repair $1,010–$2,360

Replace instead, and what that costs

What the same appliance costs new: the box on its own, before delivery, fitting or any cabinetry work. National appliance pricing, not Florida labor.
Appliance Appliance only
Professional range, the usual repair-or-replace comparison $6,500–$14,500
Built-in refrigerator or column $9,500–$17,500
Built-in dishwasher $1,600–$3,200

A band is where the work has landed, not a quote. You get a written estimate before any part is ordered or any tool comes out. 90 days on labor, 365 days on parts.

What the fee is not

No surcharges we did not name

  • No trip charge on top of the diagnostic. One fee covers getting here and finding it.
  • No evening, weekend or holiday rate. We run one schedule and that is the whole of it.
  • No charge for a quote you did not ask for. The estimate covers the fault you called about.
  • No parts ordered before you approve them in writing.
  • No work on any other manufacturer, at any price. Viking equipment only.

The cover after the invoice is set out on the warranty page, and the questions we get before booking are answered on the questions page. If what you are really weighing is whether to spend it at all, the repair-or-replace page puts these bands beside what the same appliance costs new.

Asked on the phone

What do people ask about the money?

What does the repair itself, once the diagnostic is done cost?
$80 flat to come out and find the fault, and that comes off the bill the moment you approve the repair. Past that the job lands in a band: compressor or sealed-system repair $1,010–$2,360. You get a written estimate before any part is ordered or any tool comes out. Every repair carries 90 days on labor and 365 days on parts.
Is an appliance this old worth repairing?
Set the band against what the replacement costs: professional range, the usual repair-or-replace comparison $6,500–$14,500; built-in refrigerator or column $9,500–$17,500; built-in dishwasher $1,600–$3,200. Those are appliance-only figures, before delivery, fitting or cabinetry, which is why a repair inside the bands above usually wins by a wide margin. Where it does not, we say so at the diagnostic rather than quote the work.
What happens on the first visit?
The technician runs the full diagnostic sequence on the appliance, shows you what he measured, and writes the estimate before anything is ordered. That is the $80, and it comes off the repair. Calls run Mon–Fri, 8am–6pm and Sat, 9am–4pm. EPA Section 608 certified technicians for sealed-system refrigerant work.
How long is the repair covered?
90 days on labor and 365 days on parts from the invoice date. Genuine OEM parts only. If the fault we repaired comes back inside the term, the return visit is ours and there is no second diagnostic fee. A different fault in the same appliance is a new diagnosis and we tell you that on site.
Do you work on anything other than Viking?
No. Viking Range, LLC builds kitchen appliances — ranges, rangetops, wall ovens, built-in refrigeration, ventilation hoods and dishwashers — and that equipment is the whole of what this shop takes in. One make means the parts on the van, the manuals and the failure patterns are the ones we see every week. We are an independent repair shop.

What customers said

What the invoice looked like to them

4.3 out of 5, across 77 published customer reviews. Read every one of them.

  • The undercounter ice unit was making cubes that stuck together in one lump. He cleaned the mould, sorted the water level at the trough and set the harvest interval. Loose cubes again, and no part needed.

    Lucinda V.

  • The upper cavity was overshooting badly while the lower one behaved, so I was braced for a big bill. It was the sensor. He measured it cold, measured it hot, showed me both readings and swapped it.

    Aurelio G.

  • The wine cabinet drifted several degrees warm and the display kept flickering. He found the door switch reading closed intermittently, so the fan logic never settled. New switch and the readout is steady.
